In addition, by opening the results of the studies to the public, the research lab aims to contribute to the local community.
The Humanities Research Lab will host the Springtime National Symposium and the National Symposium for the Development of Yeongdong Culture every year. A theme for the mid- to long-term will be selected so that the researchers of the College of Humanities as well as those throughout the country can have an opportunity to present and discuss the theme together. The symposiums will improve the research abilities of the members, and become a place where members can share the results of their studies.
The Humanities Research Lab will support various research societies, which are groups organized by the students of the College of Humanities to study primary research tasks. Supporting the research societies will stimulate the study of humanities.
The Humanities Research Lab will prepare an opportunity where its members can communicate with the public through the results of their studies. By allowing researchers to voluntarily communicate with the citizens in an open space, the lab aims to overcome today’s crisis in the humanities and restore the standing of the study. The lab also aims to provide an opportunity where citizens can enrich the quality of life through the humanities, as modern times requires humanistic refinement.
