Surrounded by the strong waves of the East Sea and the fresh spirits of Daegwallyeong Mountains, the College of Humanities aims to study and seek the humanities to raise values, rational thinking and creative abilities. The college thrives to make its students serve their country as well as humanity, and search for the meaning and beauty of life.
Currently, the college has eight departments;
Korean Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, German Language and Literature, Chinese Language and Literature, Philosophy, History, Japanology, and Childhood Education.
With these departments, the College of Humanities has an academic tradition fitting its solid reputation. Through language, ideology and culture, the college also communicates actively with the local residents in a liberal sense.
